Obasempire reports that Biola Adebayo, the actress, has alleged that Adenike Adewodun, her podcast guest who confessed to zoophilia, feigned her own death.
Adenike, during a podcast, previously recounted her teenage encounter with sexual assault and her involvement in sexual activity with canines to fulfill her urges.
On June 9, Adebayo expressed shock and stated that Adenike suddenly committed suicide after the explosive podcast.
Adebayo also suggested that the criticism the guest received after the confession might have contributed to her death.
But in a fresh post, Adebayo said she discovered Adenike faked her death.
The actress recounted how her podcast team noticed inconsistencies in the narratives from the guest’s sister and friend.
Adebayo said Adenike confessed she faked her death to avoid more backlash from the public over the podcast.
“In the course of properly mourning [Adenike], we noticed some discrepancies in what her so-called sister was telling us and what her friend was saying,” the post reads in part.
“Because we felt something was amiss, we dispatched the director of the show on a fact-finding mission who spoke with the friend before he traced the hospital where she was supposed to have been treated.
“We were told there and then that she didn’t die. After this discovery, a petition was written by our attorney to the police to complain about the situation. Promptly, the police investigated and arrested both Nike and her friend.”
Adebayo said the controversial guest, however, maintained that her sexual molestation experience was true.
“The police were also set to prosecute. Upon interrogation, Nike said she freaked out because people recognised her,” she said.
“She said she said she felt that if she lied that she was dead, Biola would remove the video.
“Police asked her if she reached out to Biola to remove the video at any point and she said no. Her mother, who was there at the station, corroborated the story.
“After full consultations and deep thinking, Abiola Adebayo has decided not to prosecute but will still help with her therapy and rehabilitation.”
