She also talked about how her husband’s role as a pastor nearly led to their separation during an interview with her colleague Biola Bayo on the Talk to B podcast.

Bidemi Kosoko shared that when she first met her husband, he was not a pastor until he received a divine calling. She noted that she had never envisioned being a pastor’s wife, which made it challenging for her to adapt to this new role and caused problems in their marriage.
Regarding speculation about her marrying later than planned, Bidemi clarified that she wed at 32, contrary to her initial plans.
She confessed that she had always hoped to marry young, ideally at 25 or 26, and to have her last child by 32, but circumstances changed.
“It’s not that I married too late. I got married at 32. I had always envisioned marrying at 25 or 26 and being done with having children by 32, then focusing on my life and career.
My husband is now a pastor, which is his calling. I didn’t marry him as a pastor, and this has almost strained our marriage because I didn’t see myself in the role of a pastor’s wife.”
Reflecting on her mother’s passing, Bidemi shared that her mom died when she was only 6. It was hard for her to grow up without a mother, but her famous dad, Jide Kosoko, worked hard to fill both roles in her life. She added:
“I lost my mum when I was 6. She died in 1992.

When I started menstruating, I couldn’t tell anybody. I cut pieces of clothes to package myself, not because there was no money to buy things I was supposed to use but because I refused to speak out.
If I had a mom, she would have noticed definitely. Of course, it wasn’t easy growing up without a mum but I thank God for the father I have.
My name is Abidemi because my dad wasn’t around when my mum had me. He was in London for a performance or show”.

Bidemi talked about the rumours of her reducing her age and shared her deep love for her children. She mentioned:
“People always say I am lying about my age especially when my dad wished me a happy birthday and revealed my real age, which left people in doubt.
I love my kids so much and I am the type of lady they call ‘Werey Olomo’. I always want my kids to be around me. So they are my hand bag, we go everywhere together. I stopped traveling because of my children. I can’t leave them alone for a long time”.
