Nigerian Police Apprehend Zfancy for Alleged Threatening Videos

Obasempire reports that the National Cybercrime Centre of the Nigeria Police Force has apprehended Zfancy, a well-known prankster, amidst allegations related to threatening video content.

The arrest, disclosed by Force Public Relations Officer ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi on Thursday, marks a pivotal moment in the ongoing investigation.

Zfancy was reportedly seized from an apartment in the Wuye area of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

This action follows the widespread circulation of contentious videos on social media, wherein the suspect was implicated in serious crimes, including allegations of rape.

Addressing concerns raised by the public, Adejobi emphasized that Zfancy’s provocative videos had sparked fear and consternation among social media users. Despite assertions from the suspect that the videos were staged, authorities have moved forward with legal action based on the gravity of public reaction and the potential impact on community safety.

“Regardless, such actions have serious implications and cannot be taken lightly,” the force PRO stated.

Speaking further, Adejobi pointed out that the police remain committed to maintaining public safety and ensuring that individuals are held accountable for actions that incite fear or disturb public peace.

He also issued a warning to content creators and pranksters to always obey the law and be conscious of acts that could be threatening to members of the public and the general security of the nation.
